Continental Mathematics League (CML) – Computer Science Grades 3-6 4:30 pm start
This is a contest series with cumulative score awards. CML started in 1980. CML’s computer science meets focus on the “unplugged” activities; questions that do not require any specific computer science knowledge (and, in our opinion, are very connected to the logic and thinking skills we are working to develop). Three sets of “programming” and algorithmic puzzles in a paper test format. Each grade has their own set of meet problems consisting of 6 questions to be answered in 30 minutes.
Awards: NNVMath awards for meet winners at the MathRocks! contest following each meet. National and Regional awards will be distributed to duly recognize individual and team achievements by CML based on accumulative scores from all 3 meets.
Meet dates are on the following Fridays: January 17, February 14, and March 20.
Grades 3-6: Meets begin at 4:30 pm. Please arrive between 4 and 4:15 to check in.
This registration includes all 3 contests. More information about CML and their meets can be found at https://www.cmleague.com/product-category/cml/
Cost $25 for the full series
