Competition Team Development Program (CTDP)

This is the 11th year of this program! The focus of the NNVMath Competition Team Development Program (CTDP) is to provide an opportunity for students in the Reno/Sparks area to participate on a regional math team*.  Our goal is to challenge students to develop their math, logic, and thinking skills while working both independently and within a group.  Participants are expected to

  • do their best work,
  • share their knowledge with their teammates,
  • learn from their teammates,
  • pursue learning more math and developing their math skills, and
  • be enjoyable to work with and around.

Students must apply to be a part of the Competition Team Development Program (CTDP).

The CTDP prepares to attend the ARML competition each Spring as a cohesive and competitive team. Participation in CTDP is for students who live in the Reno/Sparks area OR who attend a physical school in the Reno/Sparks area. ARML will take place on June 2 and 3, 2023. Being selected to participate as part of the ARML team is an honor and students are expected to attend if selected. IMPORTANT: While you must be a part of our CTDP to be selected for our ARML team, being a part of the CTDP does not guaranty you will be selected to attend ARML.
