We are accepting applications for the following paid, entry-level positions and willing to combine positions for the right candidate:
Program Coordinator – Full-time position coordinating NNVMath Programs with focus being running our MathRocks! contest series from beginning to end. Comfort with Microsoft Word and Excel (or similar) required. Will train the right candidate. Schedule has some most Saturdays during the school year. Paid holidays and vacation. $17-20/hour based on experience. Strong writing and verbal communications skills required. GREAT opportunity for someone wanting to enter the world of non-profit management!
Math Enrichment Programs Manager – This position is funded by the Regents Service Program and is only open to qualified graduate students. Position is 20 hours per week starting in August and going through the end of May. Stipend is $1700/month with additional benefits through the Regents Service Program. This is a supervisory position.
Math Enrichment Program Instructor (2-3 positions) – This is a part-time position working approximately 10 hours per week (position may be an internship if desired). Intern will receive instruction and experience with teaching afterschool and weekend math enrichment programs, including math clubs. Ideal position for: degree seeking student considering teaching but unsure which level they want to pursue or who would like to improve their math competency and confidence; or math degree seeking student interested in teaching math at any level. Non-college applicants also welcome. Your schedule must allow you to start at 2:30 or 3pm at least 2 weekdays. $15/hour
Mathematics Intern – The Mathematics Programs Intern will be involved with the competition math aspects of NNVMath programs. Positions is for the Fall semester with potential to extend through the Spring semester. The intern will assist the Competition Team Development Program (CTDP) coaches (CTDP is composed of students in grades 7-12). The intern will also learn how to write math contest problems for all levels, grades 1-12, that engage students in creative problem solving. There may also be the opportunity to support the Math Club Program Interns should those programs need additional support. The Mathematics Programs Intern will work an average of 8 hours each week; schedule is flexible with the following exceptions: works most Sundays from 12:45-5:30 starting mid-September and some Saturdays during the school year. $15/hour.
