We are currently accepting applications for several paid intern positions and a part-time Office Assistant.

Our mission is to build a community that develops a math, logic, and problem-solving foundation in children that inspires joy and confidence to discover their potential. We value continuous learning, persistence, and seeking problems that are challenging.

NNVMath started in January of 2013 with Sherry organizing a group of kids in grades 7-12 to participate in the American Regions Math League (ARML) team competition, became an official entity in May 2014, and received non-profit status from the IRS in June 2015. In October of 2015 we ran our first local contest in Reno for kids and ran our first math camp over Christmas break of that year.

Our female participation is historically over 40% across our programs; our minority participation is over 50%.

We now provide a variety of math opportunities to students in grades 1 through 12. We write 6 in-house contests during the school year for grades 1-12 that include multiple rounds, including a team round. After COVID, we are now able to provide students outside the Reno/Sparks area the ability to participate online. We offer a variety of other contests that all students should have access to being involved, including the AMC8, AMC10, AMC12, CMLs, Mathematics League, IMLEM, and more. We run multiple math camps each year and have offered a variety of other instructional programs.

Our programs rely on the generous donation of time that our volunteers donate. We can’t say enough about our wonderful volunteers!
